Earlier in the month, legendary film producer Donald Kushner spoke at the Red Sea Film Festival (Red Sea 360°), about a whole host of topics, not least storytelling in the metaverse.

Kushner was joined on stage by Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, and what followed was a fascinating panel discussion about how digitally connected our world continues to be, and the blurred barriers between the physical and digital.

In summer 2022, Kushner and his Gumbotron production team partnered with us, to produce a new metaverse story world – Cryptosaurs. Cryptosaurs is the “next evolution of dinosaurs,” which will take audiences on a journey using Web3 technology that will bring each Cryptosaur character to life.

Designed and created by the team behind the legendary movie franchise Tron, Cryptosaurs are a new breed of PFP collection, featuring unique dinosaur characters.

Cryptosaurs are creatures that can ‘evolve’ through owner interactions and interventions, unlocking new utilities and opportunities along the way.

All species are bred initially from a ‘Genesis Egg’, which ensures random distribution of species to holders — although eagle-eyed egg owners may be able to distinguish some key features that will offer a clue as to the Cryptosaur within.
